Welcome to e-Gifts
December 2008 Edition
Welcome Friends to our December edition!
Wow! What a whirlwind November was - our books released, Thanksgiving,
a new president was elected - it truly was an amazing one. Thank
you to every one who went on to our website to purchase books
and help spike Amazon sales - Seeking Serenity got to #15 and
BEing the Present did well too...that is just the beginning...so
thank you and we will keep you posted in 2009 when we have our
full on release!
Here we are - December has descended upon us. Our theme for the
month is FORGIVENESS. With forgiveness comes healing of all. It
is a good month to end the year with forgiveness to prepare us
for all that will come in 2009. Our book of the month, oh wait,
you guessed, is actually both of our books again as we did two
in one last month so let them last through the holiday season.
We have received a great reception with our books and amazing feedback
and we are so grateful! Thank you!
I have added some new people whom I have recently re-connected with

FEATURE STORY
Holiday Wrap UP!
I thought about writing several different things in the feature
story this month. And somehow none of them seemed quite right.
I thought about summing up this year's events and organizations
that we highlighted. I thought about writing about some of the
exciting things that are happening on the planet - the innovations,
the films and the gifts out there, to inspire action on the planet
in the New Year. But nothing really resonated!
And then it hit me! I just really wanted to write from a place of
gratitude about the year and how grateful I am for all the love and
support in my life. I recently went back to Denver and then NY and
Philly and did some book readings and events. I started reading my
book about living in the moment and realized, wow I am still doing
it...I have just had the amazing accomplishment of writing and releasing
not 1 but 2 books and I haven't stopped to jump up and down for joy
and truly celebrate the accomplishment! Wow, how amazing and what
an amazing gift it was and is to have our book to open up and remind
me...even now after it has been written, it can still serve as a
tool and reminder of how to stay present, live in the moment and
truly appreciate all that life has to offer. That is the gift that
is the book!
Since that time, I have really slowed down a lot to relax, sleep,
be, spend time with friends, have fun and celebrate! Yippee! What
do you have to celebrate this year? What have you accomplished but
not taken the time to acknowledge and honor yourself for your accomplishments
- no matter how big or small - stop and give yourself a pat on the
back, brag to a friend...do something! But most importantly, find
time this holiday season to love yourself and spend time with the
people you love and care about and cherish your time together and
celebrate your wins together!
I am so grateful for all that I have accomplished this year, but
most importantly for all the friendships, acquaintances and people
I have met! Thank you for being supportive and loving during a huge
transition in my life and for showing me what unconditional loving
really is. Thank you for inspiring me and encouraging me to be me!
And most importantly, thank you for being in my life! May you have
a beautiful holiday season!
Pilar's Ponderings
Are You For-Giving or Are You For-Getting?
 |
A friend of mine once posed
that question. Wow, what a perfect play on words! It truly
is a question of the times and for the season.
It is December - that wonderful time of the year! Or is it? For
many it is an amazing time to spend with family and loved ones.
For others it may be a difficult time for whatever reasons. Yet
for all it can be a time of reflection to go inward and review
the year and prepare for the new year. Whatever the case may
be for you, this year I ask that you consider the alternatives
and recognize that you have a choice and only YOU have the power
to create the mood, spirit, love and vibration of the holiday
season and set the intention for peace, love and joy for the
new year. . |
So you get to choose. What will you choose this holiday season
and for the upcoming year? Can you make a commitment to choose
living with positive intention, focusing on love and peace? Will
you be for-giving or will you be for-getting? That is the simplicity
of life when it seems to get chaotic and uncomfortable, that we
have a choice and in our lives we can choose to forgive ourselves
first and through that process we may also forgive others.
To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love.
In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness.

Forgiveness...
 |
Another year....I ask myself
the same question every December, as I review the year... |
What did I learn? How did I grow? Who am I becoming? As I pondered
the topic for this month, forgiveness, the concept of transformation
comes to mind. You may have heard, to forgive is to 'give as before'.
To give as we did before we forgot how to give from a place of
pure love. The part about forgiveness that we often over look is,
forgiveness begins in us. If we begin first by forgiving ourselves,
and loving ourselves, everything outside of us is instantly transformed.
It's not that the 'other' person has changed. We have changed.
As we let go of wanting to hold onto the pain of whatever we are
feeling, we open the door to forgiveness. True, we always have
a choice. To hold onto the past. Or to let go and live in the present.
Our attachment to unpleasant past events, can harden our heart
and shut people out of our lives. A lifetime of this can leave
us lonely and alone. Today is a new day! It's the... "first
day of your life" or "carpe diem" (seize the day)
expression you have probably heard many times, possibly without
really hearing or understanding the power or intent of the words.
Our transformation exists in our choosing to forgive first, to
love first and to live fully.
Only what we are not giving can be lacking in any situation.
